Japanese Culture

I think ‘sadou’ is one of famous culture. In foreign countries, it’s called ‘Japanese tea ceremony’. First, the host boils water and makes a tea, and then the guests drink it. There are many rules in sadou. For example, they have to fold their legs under themselves, they have to bow before brink the tea and wipe the bowl by the right hand. And gests have to praise the bowl, hanging scroll, flower arrangement, garden and so on. Rules are different between each school.
Next, there are many schools in sadou. The custom drinking a tea started in the Heian Period in Japan. It likes the oolong tea. In Kamakura Period, tea was popularization among people as medicine. And the tea ceremony came into fashion among rich people. Now, many people learn sadou. I think it is important Japanese culture.

【Seals】
In New Zealand, you can see many lying and sunbathing seals on the beach. They are “New Zealand Fur Seal”. New Zealand Fur Seal belong among the seals that live the south island coast. Their feature is a sharp brown nose and little jet ears. Now, about 90,000 New Zealand Fur Seals inhabit in New Zealand.
In Japan, you can see seals in an aquarium or zoo, but there are few wild seals. Sometimes they drift ashore in seaside. Most of them are “Callorhinus” who live the North Pacific Ocean.

【dolphins】
Hector’s Dolphin is smallest dolphin in the world and that can see only New Zealand. They called” Hector’s Dolphin” and sometimes “Mickey Mouse Dolphin”, because they have roundish back. In Japan we can’t also see wild dolphins like wild seals.

Movies

Home Alone
I saw some movies in my summer vacation. Especially, I liked ‘
Home Alone’. I rented that DVD from the rental shop. This is a 1990 Christmas movie.

Plot
The McCllister family planned to go Paris as a Christmas trip. On the day of the start date, they slept late, because they had a black out. They set for the trip and go to an airport hastily. Kevin McCallister who is the youngest of the five children in the family was left in a home alone, his parent very panicked. However Kevin didn't panic, rather, he was very pleased at to be alone. He enjoyed living alone, but two thieves came in the house. Kevin set many traps to guard them house.

Macaulay Carson Culkin
He played Kevin McCallister who is the leading character in this movie. Culkin was born in New York City (August 26, 1980). He became a world-famous child actor by Home Alone. He was recognized to The Guinness Book of World Records as the most famous child actor.

Home Alone series
Home Alone has fore series. I wrote about the Home Alone(first). There are Home Anole 2, Home Alone 3 and Home Alone 4. Home Alone 2 and 4 are also Kevin’s stories, but only 3 isn’t Kevin’s story. In Home Alone 4, Alex played the leading character. It’s also funny!
